Where To Stay

Students and Parents will stay on campus in Centennial Place for the first night of SOAR. Payment for one night of student housing is included in the student SOAR fee, but NOT in the parent/guest fee. Residence hall check-in is between 10 a.m. and noon on Day One of SOAR and will take place at Building 2 of Centennial Place across from the Russell Union. If you need to check in after 12 Noon, you can check in at the Centennial Place Front Desk in Building 2 till 1am on Day 1.

You Will Need To Bring

Twin sized sheets, a pillow, a blanket, towels, toiletries and an alarm clock.

Early/Late Arrival

Students needing to arrive early or stay late can sign up for $20/night and stay in the SOAR student housing in Eagle Village. Please complete the SOAR student housing form to reserve extra nights. You do not need to complete this form if you are only staying on campus for the first night of SOAR. Please note that payments cannot be made between 10pm and 3am each night due to scheduled system maintenance.

Parent Housing

Parents may stay on campus during SOAR in "SOAR Parent Housing" for an additional charge to experience residence hall living. Your Parent/Guest SOAR fees do NOT cover housing for Parents/Guests. SOAR Parent Housing is adjacent to the student housing in Centennial Place.

IMPORTANT

The parent/guest fee that you pay to attend SOAR does NOT cover the overnight stay on campus for parents or guests. SOAR Parent Housing does provide: sheets, pillows, a blanket, soap and towels. There are no phones or televisions in rooms for SOAR Parents.

Fees and Reservations

Per night fees for SOAR Parent Housing: $45 for 1-2 people, $60 for 3 people in a suite, and $75 for 4 people in the suite (tax included). Accepted forms of payment are credit card, check and money order. Please select the link below to complete the SOAR Parent Housing reservation form which will allow you to (1) indicate the date(s) you are staying, (2) the number of individuals you will need housing for, and (3) make your payment for the housing.

Extra Housing for Parents

When registering for SOAR Parent Housing, you will be given the option to sign up for 1-2 days prior, the night of SOAR, and 1-2 days after as part of your application. Extra nights of housing is limited and based upon availability. For more information, please contact the SOAR Housing Staff at soarhousing@georgiasouthern.edu.

If your student is also coming early/staying late, they will need to complete the student early arrival form separately from you and pay their extra fees (please see above). The student early arrival sign up will begin in April.

ADA or Special Accommodations

If you need special accommodations for yourself or your student, please contact the SOAR Housing staff once you have completed your registration. You can send an email to soarhousing@georgiasouthern.edu with the requested accommodation. Please include your student's Eagle ID and the SOAR Parent Housing Confirmation Number with your request. Requests must be received at least 2 weeks prior to your SOAR Session.
