Housing in the Summer will be located in either Southern Pines (Buildings 3 and 4), or Southern Courtyard. (Students who currently reside in Southern Pines and Southern Courtyard and who apply by March 10 th , will have preference to keep the same room where they are currently assigned. After March 10 th , students will be assigned to the first available space and may have to move at the end of Spring Semester.)
When applying for Summer, you will need to follow the directions below. Students who apply for Summer Term Only will be required to submit a $300 housing deposit; however, there are strict penalties for cancellations.
How to Apply.
- Determine what building you want to live in, and what term you are applying for.
- All of the rates below are estimated rates for your reference. The actual rate will be calculated by the number of days you stay in housing.
• i. 2 bedroom Southern Pines – A or B Term Only -- $575
• ii. 2 bedroom Southern Pines – Long Term -- $1075
• iii. 2 bedroom Southern Pines – A and B Term -- $1150
• iv. 4 bedroom Southern Pines – A or B Term Only -- $537.50
• v. 4 bedroom Southern Pines – Long Term -- $975
• vi. 4 bedroom Southern Pines – A and B Term -- $1075
• vii. 2 bedroom Southern Courtyard – A or B Term Only -- $605
• viii. 2 bedroom Southern Courtyard – Long Term -- $1150
• ix. 2 bedroom Southern Courtyard – A and B Term -- $1210
• x. 4 bedroom Southern Courtyard – A or B Term Only -- $575
• xi. 4 bedroom Southern Courtyard – Long Term -- $1075
• xii. 4 bedroom Southern Courtyard – A and B Term -- $1150
- Activity Fee for All Hall Choices -- $15
- Once you determine where you want to live, go to www.gsuhousing.com and click on Apply. From there you will asked to Log in to RMS. Your log in is your Eagle ID and your password is your birth date (mmddyyyy format).
- After you log in, you will need to click on the SUMMER '06 Application Period.
When completing the application, be sure to use the above information for your summer community choices. Due to system limitations, 5 choices are required. However, for Summer, only the first 3 choices will be considered. Students are encouraged to just duplicate their 3 rd choice to fill all blanks.
- All Summer school students must have a $300 deposit on file. Students who lived in housing for Spring or who plan to live in housing for fall, will be able to have their deposits carried over for summer.
What are the penalties for Cancellation?
- If you submit an application for Summer and cancel it before May 1 st , there are no penalties.
- If you submit an application for Summer and cancel after May 1st, but before the first day of the term you applied for, you will be subject to a $100, cancellation fee.
- If you submit an application for Summer and do not cancel, and do not occupy the space, OR you cancel after the first day of the term you applied for, you will be subject to a $200 no show/cancellation fee.
