Summer Housing Information

Housing in the Summer will be located in University Villas. (Current Residents of University Villas will be assigned to their current room assignment, not their fall assignment unless they contact the housing office by March 18th. If you wish to be assigned to your fall University Villas assignment you must (1) be available to move to your room on May 11th from 9:00am to Noon and (2) you must be taking classes in both Summer A and B terms or Long Term.)

• Determine what you are applying for.
• Once you determine what you are applying for, go to https://secure.georgiasouthern.edu/~housing/students/summer10/newStudent.php and fill out the form.

Term Dates

The summer term dates are as follows

• Term A: May 20 - June 24
• Term B: June 26 - July 29
• Term A and B: May 20 - July 29
• Long Term: May 20 - July 22
• EIP: June 23 - July 29

What are the penalties for Cancellation?

For students not enrolled in Georgia Southern for the contract period:

• If you sign a contract for Summer and cancel it before May 1st, there is a $50 cancellation fee.
• If you sign a contract for Summer and cancel after May 1st, but before the first day of the term you applied for, you will be subject to a $100, cancellation fee.
• If you sign a contract for Summer and do not cancel, and do not occupy the space, OR you cancel after the first day of the term you applied for, you will be subject to a $150 no show/cancellation fee plus the daily rate of the room until written notice is received by the housing office.

For students who will be enrolled in Georgia Southern for the contract period:

• If you sign a contract for Summer and cancel it before May 1st, there is a $50 cancellation fee.
• If you sign a contract for Summer and cancel after May 1st, but before the first day of the term you applied for, you will be subject to a $150, cancellation fee.
• If you sign a contract for Summer and you cancel after the first day of the term the cancellation fee is equal to 75% of the value of the contract.
