Living on campus for the first time can be an exciting and sometimes anxious time for students who often have never shared a bathroom or bedroom with another person. This page has information designed to help you prepare for your college experience on-campus. Along the right side of this page are links with information on applying for housing, special programs, and other important information you can use in deciding what halls to apply, what amenities are offered in our halls, and what you can expect when living at Georgia Southern.
As a new freshman, all students are required to live in on-campus housing. Students are required to live on-campus during the traditional academic year. Students who begin in the Fall semester, are required to live on-campus for Fall and Spring semesters. Students who begin in the Spring, are only required to live on-campus for the Spring semester. Students who begin in the summer term, are not required to live on-campus for the summer they begin, though we do recommend it, but are required to live on-campus for the Fall and Spring semesters following their first summer.
The earlier you complete your housing application, the better your chances are of getting one of your top choices for housing! Students can list five preferences for their space, but if there is no space available in one of their choices, they will be assigned to another available space. So remember to complete your application as soon as possible!
