| RIGs |
RIGs are GSU’s most academically structured residential community are are located in building 2 of Eagle Village. Students not only live in the same section of a floor, but also take a cluster of classes together. Faculty members in the RIG coordinate their classes to help students make connections between their classes and the out of class experiences. For more information about the RIGs, please click here. |
RIG members can only choose roommates who are also in the RIG. All students interested in the RIG program must complete (1) the housing application and (2) the RIG Application to be considered for the different RIGs. |
| Honors Students |
Students in the Honors Program who would like to connect with other honors students may elect to live in the Honors community in Building 1 of Centennial Place. The third and fourth floors of Building 356 have been designated as the Honors community. Preference will be given to honors students on these floors. However, space permitting, an honors student may select a non-honors roommate.

If you are requesting a roommate, both students must select each other on the housing application. If you request a non-honors roommate and space is not available on the honors floor, you will be placed in a non-honors community.

| First-Year Residential Experience |
Located in Southern Pines Buildings 2, 3, and 4, this program is a great option for students interested in reserved classes. Students choose from one to four hours of classes in the fall to take with other students in the program.Classes are core classes reserved exclusively for FYRE students.

Members are required to participate in community service projects and residence hall programs.

| Technology, Engineering and Nursing (TEN)
|
This community is located in Southern Pines Buildings 1 and 5 and is open to all first year students. TEN is dedicated to providing academic and vocational support for residential students pursuing a career in these high-demand fields. TEN features a computer lab equipped with specialized software used in engineering programs.

| Graduate Student Housing
|
A number of units in Southern Courtyard are reserved for graduate students who wish to live on campus. These units are located together in Building 4, and priority for these spaces is given to graduate students.

Must be a graduate student. Non-traditional aged undergraduate students will also be considered for these spaces.

| Southern Pathways
|
Located in Eagle Village Building 2, Pathways provides a residential community for students participating in the BUILD and WILD programs. Students who participate in these summer programs continue their interactions and experiences throughout the year by living together and having additional opportunities for continued involvement and leadership. Students must apply for the Pathways programs to be considered. Applications are reviewed by the Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement and students commit to participating in either the WILD or BUILD summer programs to be considered for this community.
