College Optical Express will focus exclusively on Georgia Southern University students and be a part of our new Residence Hall, Centennial Place. College Optical Express offers a wide range of eye care and eye-wear services including:

• Comprehensive eye exams, Selective eye care treatment, Eyeglass lenses and frames
• On-site Lab (Coming soon and it will allow for same or next day service in many cases)
• Eyeglass repairs and adjustments, Contact lenses, Designer sunglasses, Sports and safety glasses, Eye-wear accessories, LASIK surgery screenings, and referrals

Georgia Southern University has also contracted that College Optical Express be a VIOPSYS-Certified location. This ensures that the latest technology is used when it comes to patient management and product ordering. VIOPSYS (a.k.a.: Vision Operating System) is the most powerful and the only Internet-based software program designed to integrate and synchronize operations for all key players in the optical industry. VIOPSYS is on its way to becoming the standard ordering and management system for the three Os (VIOPSYS Certified Opticians, Optometrists, and Ophthalmologists) and your VIOPSYS Certified suppliers.

With the innovative, paperless ONE-CLICK TRANSACTION order processing module, an eye-wear order is simultaneously sent from the store to the suppliers and back - automatically tracked and confirmed at each location. This superior technology improves accuracy rates and increases efficiency.

Hours of Operation

The vision center will be staffed between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM from Monday through Friday, and on occasion between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Saturday if the need arises. During the summer months, the vision center may operate on a reduced schedule. The Vision Center may be closed or operate on a reduced schedule during all GSU holidays and closures. In addition patients may access www.collegeopticalexpress.com 24/7 to re-order contact lenses or other Eye-wear needs. This service may be accessed immediately.

Is an insurance card needed for access?

No, but a GSU ID is necessary to access any benefits or arrangements coordinated between the vision center and the University.
